Twitter images and links are currently broken

Twitter is having trouble again. Several users, including people from the AapkaDost team, are currently unable to view links and images on the social network. Twitter says the issues are caused by an internal change. According to reports from third-party web monitoring service Downdetector, the problems started around 11:50 a.m. ET.

“Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected at this time,” the company said in a tweet. “We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We are working on this now and will share an update when it is resolved.”

When you click on a link, an error message appears that says “Your current API subscription does not include access to this endpoint, see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api for more information.” The link in the error message also appears to be broken.

This latest outage comes about a week after Elon Musk cut more than 200 jobs in the company’s latest round of layoffs. The cuts concerned Twitter Blue head Esther Crawford and Martijn de Kuijper of the newsletter app Revue.

After Elon Musk took over Twitter last October and laid off thousands of employees, many feared the social network would slowly fall apart. It is not the first time that Twitter has faced problems in recent months.

Just a few days ago, many parts of the social network, including the timeline, were broken for users around the world. Last month, Twitter started showing users that they had exceeded their “daily limit,” while another bug prevented people from following other users. In December, the social network ran into problems and showed users a “rate exceeding limit” error.
