The social media platform Reddit is experiencing an outage affecting its website and app, according to the company’s status page and anyone who has tried to load the platform. Reddit has been down since at least 12:18 a.m. PDT.
The company has identified an internal system issue and a fix “that may take some time to implement,” the company said. The solution was identified around 2:43 PM PDT.
A Reddit spokesperson would not share more information with AapkaDost about what caused the outage or how long it will take to resolve the issue.
There have been over 60,000 reports of issues with the platform on Downdetector, and many AapkaDost reporters have confirmed Reddit loading issues.
The web page does not load any content and a popup says “Sorry, we were unable to load posts for this page.” In the iOS app, content downloaded a few hours ago still populates, but no comments are loaded.
